Not only the finest combination of history and scenery is found on this trekking route, but also it winds from the rapids of the Urubamba river through mountains, cloud forest and deep jungle into the famous Lost City of Machu Picchu. The Inca Trail has now been officially closed to all but a few licensed operators, in an attempt to protect its fragile eco structure from over-use. QOYLLUR TOURS one of these few, is now able to offer all season departures, including guides and porters on the walk.

DAY 01 CUSCO - KM 104 - WIÑAYWAYNA
Early in the morning departure by train from Cusco to Km 104. Here we will meet our porters to start the trekking up of 7 km aprox, passing by 3 falls with 50 m high aprox during raining season, from here a nice view of the archaeological site of Choquesuysuy which has a religious complex dedicated to the water, it has two terrace systems that runs in both sides and one trail that leads us to Wiñay Wayna, located at 8,500 ft./ 2550 m where we will camp. Lunch is included or picnic en route is provided. Afternoon at leisure to explore the archaeological site, that consists of houses, terraces, towers and one local museum. Dinner in campsite. (BL,D)

DAY 02 WIÑAYWAYNA-PHUYUPATAMARCA
Get ready to start a new hike today, to walk up to the cloudy place of Phuyupatamarca (12,166 ft. / 3650 m) another Inca construction over the edge of a trail with the same name. Free time to explore the constructions, terraces, houses, aqueducts and little water containers. From here, there is a fabulous view of snow-capped Salcantay. Lunch is included, then we will go down back to Wiñaywayna (Camping on the same place). Dinner and Camping. (L,D)

DAY 03 WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
We start our hike very early today to go to Inti Punku "The Sun Gate", With a little luck and if sky is clear we will appreciate the Sunrise. It is time to relax and enjoy the view, take a chance for a snack. Then we go on through our trail, which leads us to the one of the greatest archaeological discovery in the world - "Machu Picchu". After a guided visit of the citadel, train ride back to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to hotel. (B; L)

Transfer hotel/train station in CUSCO (RT), twin tents, camping equipment, cooking gear, guide (ENGLISH/SPANISH/GERMAN/FRENCH, If you require another language, please consult), porters, full board (B: breakfast, L: lunch, BL: Box Lunch, D: Dinner) entrance fee to the trail and the citadel of Machu Picchu, and train (part of the PeruRail Orient Express chain) tourist class to Cusco.
