WEATHER:
Weather in Lima: summer is December to March which is humid and hot from 19 to 30ºC, winter is June to October which is humid with cloudy skies and cold from 13 to 20ºC, the spring and fall months are pleasant with moderate temperatures and some sunny days.
Weather in Paracas: Summer is December to March has an average temperature of 20ºC, winter of June to September between 10 and 15ºC.
The climate is normally hot and dry. It is sunny most of the year, but cold at night.
Weather in Nazca:
The summer is December to March and has an average temperature of 29ºC, winter is June to September and is between 10 and 15ºC.
Weather in Arequipa:
Dry and warm, sunny during the day and cold at night. From December to March: rainy season, winter with temperatures dropping to 10ºC at night.
Weather in Puno:
From December to March around 12ºC, dry and extremely cold climate with rain. From May to October is winter, during the day it reaches 6ºC and at night 10ºC.
Weather in Cusco: Summer is considered to be December to March, temperatures reaching 16ºC, cold at night and rainy.
Winter is May to October, with dry weather and an average temperature of 11ºC.
Machu Picchu, has a semi-tropical climate where it rains from November to April. The average temperature in the capital is 12ºC with a maximum of 18ºC and minimum of around 4ºC.

In Lima, the capital of Peru, one can find international, local and vegetarian foods, as well as international franchise fast food restaurants.
In Paracas and Nazca, In the city one can find international foods, as well as fish and seafood dishes.
In the city of Arequipa, one can find international and vegetarian food, but don´t forget to try the shrimp based dishes such as chupe de camarones (shrimp soup), a dish characteristic of the region.

The water is potable in all of Peru, but the chemicals vary everywhere. Because of this, drinking bottled water is recommended.
