Relief:
The relief of the department of Junín encompasses saw zones
as of jungle (Amía). The western side, in the limit
with Lima, the mountain chain presents hilly summits snow covers.
The landscape is extended toward the this with glacier valleys
of great altitude and high plateaus, until changing definitely
upon descending of the Andes, to give step to the jungle eyebrow.
In such zone abound the narrow and deep cannons and forests .
The Valley of the Mantaro is one of the most important zones of
the department, concentrates the greater percentage of the population.
