GASTRONOMY:
In the city of Ayacucho, one can enjoy foods typical to the region such as the famous pachamanca (meats, potatoes, and beans cooked in a stone oven), cuy chaktado (guinea pig), caldo de mondongo (slow cooked tripe and vegetable soup), adobo ayacuchano (pork dish), and also international dishes.
WATER:
The water is potable in all of Peru, but the chemicals vary everywhere. Because of this, drinking bottled water is recommended.
