TREKKING AUSANGATE
(7 Days / 6 Nights)

DAY 01: CUZCO - OCONGATE - TINQUI
We depart Cuzco in our private bus and travel about six hours to reach the small village of Tinqui at the foot of the Vilcanota range. Our first night is spent at a lovely campsite in Tinqui. (L,D)

DAY 02: TINQUI - UPIS
We meet our pack animals and muleteers that will carry our equipment and luggage. After trekking approximately five hours, with time for lunch and rest stops for pictures, we arrive to the hot springs of Upis, our second campsite. (B,L,D)

DAY 03: UPIS - LAKE PUKACOCHA
After trekking approximately 2.5 hours, we get to our first pass, Arapa pass (4850 m). We continue down the corridor, pass small, multi-colored lagoons until we reach the larger Vinococha Lake, where we have lunch. A short walk in the afternoon brings us to the red-colored Pukacocha Lagoon, our campsite for the night. (B,L,D)

DAY 04: PUKACOCHA - JAMPA
In the morning, we pass various small lakes. Afterwards, we climb to the Palomani Pass (5200 m), the highest of our journey. In the evening, arrival to Jampa. (B,L,D)

DAY 05: JAMPA - KOMERQOCHA - PACHASPATA
Leaving our campsite, we hike to the valley of Jampa. Afterwards we walk to the lagoon of Ticllacocha and cross the final pass. In the evening we arrive to Pachaspata, where we will camp along the shore of the Komerqocha Lagoon. (B,L,D)

DAY 06: PACHASPATA - PACCHANTA
Hiking down through the valley, we pass many herds of grazing llamas and alpacas until we get to the hot springs of Pacchanta. We continue hiking back to the small village of Tinqui, where we spend our last night. (B,L,D)

DAY 07: TINQUI - CUZCO
Early in the morning, return to Cuzco by private transport. (B,L)
